Settings Preference Tab - Click here to modify the startup app, trash old events, and aqua background preferences.

Play sound on startup - When this preference is checked the Agenda will play a chime sound when it is opened.

Speak Greeting - When this preference is checked, the Agenda will greet you based on the time of day (morning, afternoon, or evening) when it is opened using Apple Text-To-Speech. If you are a registered user, it will even speak your first name based on the name you entered when you registered. If you wish to customize the greeting and other phrases the Agenda speaks, you can edit the SimpleText file called "Data" in the Agenda "Greeting" folder. If the Apple Speech Manager is not installed or turned on this preference will automatically turn itself off.

Speak Today's Agenda - When this preference is checked, the Agenda will speak the current date and then read off any scheduled events when it opens. This option is also used in the calendar screen to speak the scheduled events for any day you click on. If the Apple Speech Manager is not installed or turned on this preference will automatically turn itself off.

Speak To-Do List - When this preference is checked, the Agenda will speak any pending items on your to-do list when it opens. This option is also used to speak any item you click on in your to-do list. If the Apple Speech Manager is not installed or turned on this preference will automatically turn itself off.

Speak Messages - When this preference is checked, the Agenda will speak any messages it displays. This includes the shareware reminder, the status as it creates a virtual data card to store your information, and the trash old events alert. If the Apple Speech Manager is not installed or turned on this preference will automatically turn itself off.

Close - Click here to close the Preference screen and return to the Dock. You can also press return or enter to select the close button.
